Lynn Cartularo

Principal

Lynn has been a member of the Good Shepherd community since 2004.  She taught first and third grade before taking on the role of principal in 2014. She received a BS in finance and an AS in accounting from Bentley University.  She studied elemetary education at Lyndon State College and is currently enrolled at St. Joseph's College of Maine where she is pursuing her Master's in Catholic Educational Leadership.

Lynn and her husband Vincent live in Lyndonville.  They have three grown sons, Nick, Mike and Ryan (GSCS ' 13).

When she is not at school, Lynn loves to travel, garden and enjoys fresh air and sunshine.

Jodi Gingue

Administrative Assistant

Associate Director of Development

 

Jodi started working part-time at GSCS when her youngest child started Preschool in 2008. Mrs. Gingue provides a sympathetic ear to all and any first aid that may be needed.  Jodi and her husband, Gerard, live in Lyndonville and have five grown children and four went to GSCS, one son-in-law, and two grandsons. She loves spending time with loved ones, especially at the ocean; enjoys reading, boating and taking walks with her dog, Maya.

Jordan Cady

Director of Development

 

Jordan started at Good Shepherd back in July. She just recently moved back to St Johnsbury. She graduated from Plymouth State University in 2019 with a Bachelors in English and minor in Business. Good Shepherd has always held a special place in her heart ever since her little brother attended. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with loved ones, snuggling her dog, hiking mountains, traveling and writing. She actually even has a few published works. She looks forward to what the future holds here at GSCS and life in general!

Tonya Caron

Pre- K/ Kindergarten

Tonya Caron has been a part of Good Shepherd School since 2007. She is blessed with teaching Kindergarten, and enjoys her expanded role of Early Education Director. Tonya and her husband raised 3 beautiful children. Their passion has always been watching their children on the ice, field, courts, stage, or wherever their hearts led them. Together with a team of amazing early ed teachers, she is committed to providing families with a loving and engaging learning environment; creating a foundation for a lifetime of love of learning.

Melissa Taylor

1st & 2nd Grade Teacher

Art Teacher

Melissa is excited to be teaching grades 1&2 as well as Art at Good Shepherd this year. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Delaware and has been teaching for over 22 years. Most of her experience has been in Catholic schools and she finds this environment is where she thrives. Melissa has been passionate about the arts since she was very young and has taught Art for many years. She moved to St. Johnsbury in 2021 and her daughter, Annabeth, attended GSCS for 8th grade this past year. She lives with her husband Matt, her son Wyatt who attends UVM, and Annabeth who attends St. Johnsbury Acad. Melissa enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, visiting art museums and spending time with her dogs, Lilly and Gunner. She recently took up snowboarding and paddleboarding and is enjoying all the outdoor activities Vermont has to offer.

Elizabeth Heath

3rd & 4th Grade Teacher

This is Liz's 5th School year teaching at Good Shepherd.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in teaching and Master’s Degree in Counseling. 
She grew up attending a Catholic school in Massachusetts and loves Catholic Education!
She lives in Concord with her husband and two daughters who have attended GS since preschool. She enjoys playing and watching sports. She played soccer, basketball and softball through high school and played softball all through college. Elizabeth still plays slow pitch softball in the summer too!

Kenny Grenier

Music Teacher

Kenny began teaching General Music, Chorus, and Band at GSCS in 2021. After having been a substitute teacher for 3 years and a paraeducator for 2, he's excited to have his own classroom! He enjoys watching students grow as musicians and is very proud of the music program that GSCS has. When he is not teaching, he Directs for various community theaters in Northern Vermont. Currently, he has spent the past 3 years as Music Director at Norwich University for their theater program. Kenny is also a huge baseball fan! His favorite team is the New York Yankees.

Jo Anna Hall

 Mathematics Specialist

Jo Anna has worked “part-time” at GSCS since January, 2014.  She volunteers and teaches mathematics to individual students on a 1-to-1 basis.

   

Jo started teaching in September, 1972 and has thoroughly enjoyed it for Fifty years. Jo and her husband, John, live on Joe’s Pond in West Danville.  They have one daughter, Johnna, their son-in-law, Chris Kendall, along with two grandsons, Declan just graduated from GSCS and Kellan is in 7th grade currently attending GSCS.  The family loves to travel together to the coast of Maine, to Florida, and to Arizona to visit family.

Kelsi Before

7th & 8th Grade Language Arts & History Teacher

Kelsi Before began teaching at GSCS in 2015 and lives in Burke with her husband, Shane; daughter, Fiona; son, James; and two cats, Si and Little G. Kelsi loves the field of education and considers herself a life-long learner.

She enjoys participating in all activities that involve spending quality time with her family. In the future, Kelsi is most looking forward to watching her children grow and learn!

Some of her favorites include watching Netflix series and Disney movies, indulging in chocolate milk, and playing along with Jeopardy.

Mary Hughes

Mary has been teaching Math and Religion since 2007.  She teaches her students not only their subjects but also how to be kind and loving human beings. Over the course of the years she has been collecting Peeps from her students because they give them to her as gifts since she calls her students "her peeps". Mary lives in St. Johnsbury with her husband Dan, she has three children Meg, Caitie and Brendan. She also has two grandchildren Emma and Aidan. She loves the beach, cooking, traveling, baking muffins with her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends.

Melissa Aiken

5/6 Language Art and History Teacher

Melissa is a first generation American as well as a native Vermonter. Her Father is Austrian and her mother is French. Melissa is a licensed teacher with a BA in English. She re-entered the educational workforce several years ago after homeschooling her three children through eighth grade. She is married to her husband Ron, and they love the Lord, each other, and their family.  Melissa loves laughing, taking day trips, walking, reading, being in the sun, and thanking God for each and every moment.  She loves to teach and she loves to learn! She views life as a tremendous gift, as well as an opportunity to uphold and value those around her.  Melissa lives in Lyndonville with her family.

Father Harlow

Fr. Lance W. Harlow
Pastor
Corpus Christi Parish
5th & 6th Grade Religion Teacher

Fr. Harlow is the pastor of Corpus Christi Parish which includes three churches in St. Johnsbury, Danville and Lyndonville. His educational background includes an A.S. in Radiologic Technology from UVM; a BA in Philosophy from Wadhams-Hall Seminary College; a MA and a MDiv from Mt. St. Mary's University. 
    Father currently teaches full-time 5th & 6th Grade religion as well as providing additional instruction in religion for Kindergarten through 8th grade.  Fr. Harlow has had over 30 years experience in catechetical and religious instruction.  In addition to parish work, Father is a regular writer for the Vermont Catholic Magazine and has written books on theological as well as Vermont Catholic historical topics.
    Fr. Harlow was one of the founding members of the steering committee to open GSCS in the early 1990s and is committed to its ongoing success.

Jennifer Littlefield

5th - 8th Grade Science Teacher

Jen is the Good Shepherd Science Teacher, she loves bringing the joys of experiments, nature and anything science related to her students and classroom. Jen lives in Barnet with her husband and two bonus sons. She loves mechanics, building, hiking, knitting, farming, gardening, fishing and all of the other outside activities a person can think of. She enjoys watching Marvel movies and also anything with Johnny Depp in it. Her favorite things are Christmas, the color green or purple, anything maple, coffee and obviously Johnny Depp.

Lori Lombardi

Infant Teacher

Lori became part of the Good Shepherd family in 2022.  Working in the infant room, she delights in supporting and witnessing the growth and development of the smallest of God's beautiful Creation.  She loves Jesus, thanking God for all He provides, and laughing! She is blessed by the position He has brought her to at Good Shepherd, especially by being able to teach through song and learn from those around her.  Lori resides in Littleton, NH with her husband and daughter, who has attended GS since 3rd grade.  She enjoys quality time with family, music, reading, sports, game shows, and watching as her daughter develops within the loving community of GS.

Meg Derosier

Toddler Teacher

Meg lives here in St. Johnsbury Vt. She enjoys coloring , reading , and spending time with her friends and family when time allows. She has a cat named Butterscotch who is a big part of her life . She has been attending Union Baptist Church for 20 years now. In addition to working at the Good Shepherd Early Education School,  she also works at Santa’s Village in the summertime.

Mary Ann Baker
Pre-K Teacher

Mary Ann Baker is thrilled to be back teaching in the Good Shepherd Community this year.  She is getting to know some of our youngest learners while teaching in the pre school. She has been involved in early education and care in the community for the last 35 years. Mary Ann and her husband David have been married 42 years, have been blessed with seven children and 11 grandchildren (so far!). Mary Ann has a passion for helping things to grow.  When it isn't children it is plants.  So when the pandemic hit and she found herself with no "littles" to care for she decided to root all of the plants that she could.  As a result of that she has many rooms full of them.

Brittany Caron

Toddler Teacher

Brittney Caron is an alum of Good Shepherd. After moving back to the area in August 2022 she has brought a wealth of knowledge in outdoor adventures. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education. She and her fiance, of 4 years, love spending time outdoors; fishing, biking, swimming, camping, ice fishing, snowshoeing, and sledding. She is committed to sharing her love of nature and outdoor learning with her students. She looks forward to working closely with families, exploring and learning with children, as she values parents as partners.

Ms. Thomas

Ms. Thomas has been a part of the Good Shepherd Community for over 15 years. She has volunteered, subbed or taught in almost every position at GSCS. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education, has run her own daycare and worked as a co-director/preschool teacher at a local daycare as well. She was a scout leader for over 10 years and received The Scouter of the Year Award in 2015. She wears many hats at GSCS, Librarian, Gym Teacher and Lunch Lady. She also teaches religion , first grade math and Cares grew up on and raised her family on a farm. She lives in Passumpsic, loves the ocean and spending time with loved ones.
