Good Shepherd's Victorian Carolers spread Christmas cheer! Check them out on YouTube - search "St. Johnsbury Victorian Holiday"

In the photo above, 4 generations of the Fox-Ziter-Smith family celebrate Grandparents Day at Good Shepherd. GSCS students Patrick and Ashey Fox are pictured with mom, Michelle (Ziter) Fox, grandmother, Barb (Smith) Ziter, and great-grandparents, Stewart and Cecile Smith. "Cis" was serenaded at the reception, with over 300 attendees singing "Happy Birthday" to her! (more photos from Grandparents Day below)
Advent has begun... as the days grow darker, our hope shines even brighter, and we are blessed with so many opportunites to gather together and celebrate the arrival of the Light!
The PTG Christmas Bazaar is coming up on Saturday, December 12th from 9:00 - 2:00 in the GSCS gym. This is a one-stop shopping spot, with crafters and vendors offering their wares, plenty of food and beverages available, the spectacular cookie walk, beautiful gift baskets and raffle items, and plenty of Christmas cheer! Join us and bring along your family and friends as we celebrate the season. Remember that the St. Johnsbury Victorian Holiday celebration will be offering more food, fun, and festivities all around the downtown area that day, finishing up with a 5K "Light Up the Night" fun run/walk on Main Street, just before the tree in Arnold Park is lit. Our own "Good Shepherd Singers" will be caroling at the Chrismas Bazaar, and throughout the downtown area during the morning and early afternoon.
Our Victorian Carolers helped to welcome Santa to St. Johnsubury, entertained in and around Railroad Street shops, and performed at the "Wreathing of the Lions" at the Fairbanks Museum. We were told that they were one of the highlights of the day! Take a look/listen at: www.7dvt.com/2009victorian-holiday-st-jay Good Shepherd's annual Christmas Concert will be held on Monday, December 21st at 6:45 p.m. in the GSCS Auditorium. All are welcome to join us as our students share their Christmas spirit and many talents. Basketball season is underway! Check the "Calendar/Events" page for game details, and come on out to cheer on our student athletes! Mrs. Mackay represents one of four generations in her family who gathered to celebrate at Good Shepherd. Grandparents Day was quite a celebration, as over 300 attendees celebrated at our church and school(s). Many thanks to Fr. Pat for an uplifting prayer service (delivered to a "full house") at St. John's, and to the many parents led by Mrs. Mackay, who provided our guests with a beautiful reception. Thanks also to Mrs. Achilles and Mr. Turnbull for these gorgeous photos! Miss Stahler's grandmother joined in the celebration... ...as did Mrs. Achilles' grandparents! Thanksgiving was again celebrated here at Good Shepherd, with each class contributing food for the feast, and hosting a craft or activity for our younger students to enjoy. Many thanks to the entire kitchen crew, especially Mr. Frechette, who worked tirelessly for days, coordinating the feast. (Imagine Thanksgiving dinner for 150...) Students of all ages enjoyed the festive atmosphere. One guest who was especially thankful... From all of us at Good Shepherd, have a peaceful, joyful Christmas, and a very happy, healthy New Year!
