Good Shepherd's new administrators, Mrs. Haskins and Mrs. Hartwell led off the day with our morning assembly that was attended by all students and staff, as well as many parents. Our many new students were recognized and welcomed, while returning students were welcomed back. The Pledge of Allegiance, moments of silence, announcements, and of course, prayer rounded out the assembly, then all were off to a full day of introductions and class work.
Just before the end of the day, students and staff gathered in the gym for a special photo, and the traditional Good Shepherd "Birthday" cake - celebrating our 12th opening day. Thanks to the parents who helped to serve the cake, and especially to Mrs. Sherry Sylvain who has been creating these gorgeous and delicious cakes since our very first "first day."
Parents are reminded to contact Jodi Gingue (751-8223 or jgingue@gscsvt.org) in order to register for use of the "Parent Place" as soon as possible, if you are not already registered. Teachers post classroom news, homework assignments, and other announcements on their class pages on a regular basis, so this is an important communication tool.
