Tuesday, June 9, 2009 The school year may be ending, but certainly is not "winding down." As we bid farewell to Mr. Gessner, we welcome and congratulate our new administrators, Mrs. Karen Haskins, Principal, and Mrs. Linda Hartwell, Assistant Prinicipal! Our new administrative team was on hand, as were hundreds of guest, to thank Mr. Gessner and wish him well as he retires from Good Shepherd after 11 years as Principal. Many thanks to the GSCS PTG (parents and teachers) for preparing a bountiful buffet of food and beverages! Thanks to Sherry Sylvain for another beautiful and delicious cake! Sr. Marie Kelly, retiring Superintendant of the Diocese of Burlington thanks and congratulates Mr. Gessner, and new GSCS School Board Chairman, Dan Flanagan presents him with a plaque, representative of the gratitude of the hundreds of children and families who have been served by Good Shepherd during its first eleven years. As our students wrap up their academic activities, they've also enjoyed some fabulous field trips, which are educational in nature, but also a lot of fun! Can you hear me NOW?? Early Ed students learn and play at the Montshire Museum in Norwich. 3rd graders traveled to Montreal to explore the BioDome. Please check back for more field trip photos, and news from Graduation, Relay for Life, and the last day of school activities!
