Principal’s Weekly LetterFriday, March 12, 2010 Our Sweet Charity Auction is coming soon! Please consider what you might donate to make this important fundraiser a success. Do you love to bake? Maybe you could offer to bake cookies to send to a college student. Your talents and hobbies, from house-cleaning to boat rides, are valuable contributions to our auction. You can access our auction site by clicking the button on our Good Shepherd homepage, or you can go to the following link. https://www.biddingforgood.com/auction/AuctionHome.action?documentId=103136070 DISMISSAL TIME – Please do not leave your cars unattended at dismissal time. If you will be going in to the school, you must park your car in a parking space or on Cherry Street. When cars don’t move smoothly and consistently through the line, cars begin to wait on Maple Street and interfere with traffic. We have to have two clear lines of traffic through the parking lot to ensure the safety of our students – we ask that everyone help us to keep dismissal time efficient and safe. RE-ENROLLMENT FORMS - Please be sure to return your re-enrollment forms to the office. If they are returned before Monday, March 15th, we will waive the $50 registration fee. Several of our classes are nearing their capacity, and we are receiving new applications every week, so it is important that we know if your child will be returning next year.
The re-enrollment application and the packet of forms, as well as a clothing order and scholarship information, are available in the main office. The application and packet of forms are also available on the website on the admissions page.
If you are unsure of your child's plan to return to Good Shepherd, or have decided not to re-enroll your child at Good Shepherd, please let us know as we plan for the upcoming year. BOOK FAIR – Monday is the last day of our book fair. The fair is not open over the weekend, so please come in before 3:30 PM on Monday to purchase your books. If you would like to donate books to your child’s classroom, you can give a gift certificate that allows the teacher to choose from any of the books at the fair. We hope to see you on Monday! ST. PATRICK’S DAY – On Wednesday, March 17, students will be allowed to accessorize their uniforms with green. Students may wear green ties, scarves, hair accessories, socks, tights or sweaters with their regular Good Shepherd uniform. CASUAL DAY – Friday, March 19 will be a casual day for Good Shepherd students. We will be asking for a donation to go to the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Our fifth graders will be preparing Easter baskets to be delivered to children who are in the hospital over the Easter holiday.
