Principal’s Weekly LetterFriday, January 29, 2010 Sunday, January 31 begins our celebration of Catholic Schools Week. Following are some highlights and reminders for the upcoming week – please see our website for details on each day’s activities. SUNDAY – Students are encouraged to attend mass (or your regular church service) in uniform. MONDAY (Community) – Students should come to school IN UNIFORM and bring casual clothes to change into for Winter Sports. We will be having a special morning assembly with guests from our community, and we want our students to look their best. TUESDAY (Students) – It will be a casual day for students, who are asked to bring in a canned or boxed food item for the St. Johnsbury Food Shelf. WEDNESDAY (Nation) – Students are encouraged to accessorize their uniform with red (ties, scarves, tights, sweaters, etc.) to show our patriotism. Scouts are invited to wear their uniforms to school and Mass. THURSDAY (Vocations) – Students are invited to wear their favorite hats to school today. FRIDAY (Staff/Volunteer Appreciation) – Students may wear their favorite t-shirt today with their gym pants. There are many wonderful activities happening throughout the week – please check our website for all the details! ***There will not be a Teacher Luncheon on Friday, so room parents do not need to find volunteers to chaperone Friday lunch. However, we are hosting an all-day teacher/volunteer hospitality area in Karen and Linda’s office. We encourage families to bring baked goods or goodies to show their appreciation for our wonderful teachers and volunteers. Members of the PTG and other parent volunteers are also invited to stop in on Friday to enjoy the goodies. Have a wonderful weekend! Karen
