Good Shepherd Catholic School has become an established, well-respected institution in Vermont's beautiful Northeast Kingdom. We strive for excellence in our academics, of course; but even more important than just academics is our learning to be kind, caring individuals, who are developing an interior peace and who can help this world be more peaceful.
During our daily morning gathering of students and staff we say the Pledge of Allegiance, we pray, and there is always a time of complete silence. I believe that if we do not consciously and conscientiously work to develop and cultivate an interior life, a connection to the Spirit within each of us, we cannot achieve our full potential as human beings.
Older students nurture and become friends of the younger students. This helps build a safe, peaceful school community, an excellent place for students to succeed academically as well as personally. Our graduates are happily welcomed into area high schools and are known to be well-prepared, respectful students, and good citizen leaders.
