Staff Bios

Lynn Cartularo is our Principal.  Lynn came to Good Shepherd in 2003 and taught first grade, then  3rd Grade. Lynn earned a BS in Finance from Bentley College, and is currently working towards her Masters Degree in Catholic School Administration through St. Joseph's College in Maine . She lives in St. Johnsbury with her husband Vinny and son Ryan (GSCS '13).  She and her husband also have two grown sons.  Lynn enjoys gardening, reading, and going to the beach when she has the chance.                         

Tonya Caron is the Director of Early Education and our Kindergarten/1st grade teacher. Tonya has an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and is currently completing her senior year at Johnson State College, anticipating her degree in Elementary Education with a Psychology Endorsement. She lives in Lyndonville with her husband and three beautiful children, with whom she enjoys camping and kayaking.

Jodi Gingue is the Administrative Assistant.  Jodi lives in Lyndonville with her husband, Gerard and children Curtis (GSCS '15),   and Carter (GSCS '17).  They have three grown children, Micaela, Krysta (GSCS '10) & Brianna (GSCS '13).  Prior to working for Good Shepherd, Jodi managed and co-operated the family owned construction company as well as worked as a commercial lending associate for a local bank.  When Jodi is not watching her children play sports she enjoys spending time reading, boating, going to the ocean, and visiting with family and friends.

Kathleen Higgs teaches Pre-Kindergarten and Physical Education.  She holds a CDA in Early Childhood and has been working with children of all ages for over fifteen years. In the summer months,  she is the Camp Director of “Kampiwannahavfun”, a day program for children in grades K-5 through St. Johnsbury Academy’s Recreation Department,  where she enjoys working with and supporting the children in her community.  She resides in St. Johnsbury with her husband Tony and their two children, Riley(GSCS”15”) and Rory(GSCS”19”).

Linda Brown teaches Music, Kindergarten Religious Education, and supports the after care program. Linda has a BA in Education with a minor in Early Childhood from Mt. St. Mary College and is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. She has taught preschool, pre-k and kindergarten for over 25 years, and continues to teach religious education at St. Rose of Lima parish in Littleton. Linda lives in Franconia with her husband Greg, and enjoys 4 children, 2 step-children and 6 grandchildren.


Kelsi Before is our 7th & 8th grade Language Arts and History teacher.  Kelsi graduated in the top of her class from Lyndon State College with a degree in Education.  She lives in West Burke with her husband, Shane.

Dawn Frechette teaches 2nd Grade.  She holds a BS in Elementary Education from Castleton State College and lives in St. Joh
nsbury with her husband John and children Marianna (GSCS '11), Gwen (GSCS '14), and Max (GSCS '16).  She enjoys reading and computers.

Mary Ann Baker is our 3rd grade homeroom teacher and co-teaches 4th grade.  Mary Ann has a BS from Springfield College with a concentration in Early Education (PK-3) and partial completion of a Masters Degree from Champlain College in Burlington. Mary Ann lives in Danville with her husband, David.  Two of their seven grown children are graduates; Cullen (GSCS '07) and Lily (GSCS '10). They both enjoy several grandchildren.

Kristen Langlais is our 4th grade homeroom teacher, co-teaches 3rd grade and is our 5th-8th grade science teacher.  Kristen holds a BS in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from UConn and a MS in Natural Resources from UNH.  Kristen lives in West Burke with her husband and two girls (Erin GSCS '19) and Maggie (GSCS '21).  She enjoys being out in nature, gardening, caring for sheep and other animals, and crafting with wool.


Jo Anna Hall is part of the 5/6 team specializing in math.  Jo and her husband John live in Danville and enjoy spending time with their two grandsons (GSCS 2022 & GSCS 2024).

Karen Haskins is the Librarian and also part of the 5/6 team. Karen holds a BA in Modern Languages/Rhetoric from Nazareth College of Rochester and an MA in English Literature from St. Bonaventure University. She lives in St. Johnsbury with her husband Merle and children Emma, Sam (GSCS '04), Eli (GSCS '08), Alice (GSCS '09).


Mary H
ughes teaches 7th and 8th grade Math and Religion.  Mary holds a BS from the University of Vermont.  She lives in St. Johnsbury with her husband Dan.  They have two grown daughters and a son, Brendan (GSCS '08); and a very cute grandson.



John Frechette is the Maintenance Director. John holds a BS in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Castleton State College and is an Administrative Assistant at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility. He and his wife, Dawn (GSCS 2nd grade teacher), live in St. Johnsbury with their children, Marianna (GSCS '11), Gwen (GSCS '14) and Max (GSCS '16).

Joycelyn Minich is the Finance Director.  Joycelyn and her husband, Peter live in Lyndonville.

  Loralee Tester is the Development Director as well as French Instructor.  She lives in                                           East Burke with her husband Shawn and sons, Timothy (GSCS '21) and Patrick                                           (GSCS '23)
Janet Youkeles is our Pre-K through 8th grade Art teacher.  Janet lives in Lyndonville.
